Adrian Crompton Auditor General for Wales

As head of the Wales Audit Office, Adrian oversees the annual audit of some £20 billion of taxpayers’ money and is appointed on an eight-year term. Most of Adrian’s career has been spent supporting parliamentary democracy at a Welsh, UK and international level. Prior to his current appointment, he held various senior roles within the National Assembly for Wales and, before then, in the House of Commons.

Hannah Gray
Hannah Gray FCA Special Situations Group, UK Government Investments

Hannah leads the UKGI Special Situations team, which focuses on sectors and corporates where there is the risk of economic shock impact to major employment or assets of national interest. Hannah is a highly experienced advisor, having worked on a wide range of projects covering strategic balance sheet reviews, recapitalisations, debt-for-equity swaps, creditor representation, covenant renegotiations, securitisation advisory, high yield bond issuance, rights offerings, private debt placements and stressed M&A.

Tony Juniper
Tony Juniper CBE, Chair, Natural England

Tony is the Chair of the official nature conservation agency Natural England. Previously he was the Executive Director for Advocacy and Campaigns at WWF-UK and President of the Wildlife Trusts. He was the Special Advisor for The Prince of Wales's International Sustainability Unit and Executive Director at Friends of the Earth.

Katy recently led a value-for-money study examining how central government and local authorities are collaborating on net zero, which was published in July 2021. Over the course of a 16-year career at the NAO, Katy worked on a wide range of value for money reports, returning in recent years to focus on work related to government's approach to its climate and wider environmental goals.

Pete Leadbetter Head of Accounting, Network Rail

Pete is Head of Accounting at Network Rail looking after statutory accounting, consolidating Network Rail into the Department for Transport, technical accounting and technical training. Pete trained in audit in Robson Rhodes/Grant Thornton before spending 7 years in their technical team. Pete also worked at Connells Estate Agent for 2 years looking after all financial reporting across the group.

Sir Geoffrey Vos
Sir Geoffrey Vos Master of the Rolls

Sir Geoffrey Vos is the second most senior judge in England and Wales after the Lord Chief Justice. As President of the Court of Appeal’s Civil Division, the Master of the Rolls is responsible for the deployment and organisation of the work of the judges of the division as well as presiding in its courts, often hearing the most complex cases across the full range of civil, family and tribunal matters.
